I Have A Periodontal Disease (mucus Pemphigoid) Similar To Lichen

I have a periodontal disease (mucus pemphigoid) similar to lichen planus which the specialist prescribed Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% to treat my infected gums. I use an appliance to spread this cream on and insert it in my mouth
like a tray. What is the danger of ingesting this product? My specialist says it's a steroid which helps
my infection.
