I have a raised "knot" under the skin, where I had a cat bite and was clawed. I was treated with antibiotics for the past 8 days (2 days to go on the antibiotic). What is the knot? Part of the wound? Why hasn't it decreased in size? Is it a "hematoma"...a large bruise there is now fading...the cat jumped from my arms and the back claws as well as the teeth got me. I think the knot is where the back claws would have hit. Thanks. What is the knot?
