I Have A Rash (jock Itch) I May Have Scratched

I have a rash (jock Itch) I may have scratched that area and then scratched inside my ear. I also used a bulb type thing to clean my ears. It pushes water into my ear to clean wax out. Now I have an ear infection and have been to the Dr. I was told I had swimmers ear. I have been taking antibiotics for a few days now and it has not seem to help. I am wondering if by be scratching my ear after touching the jock itch area, if I transferred that to my ear. Or does it take more than a few days for the antibiotics to start working? And I just have swimmers ear.
