I Have A Round Purple Bruise-type Lesion In The Corner

I have a round purple bruise-type lesion in the corner of my eye - it's not in my eye but in the corner of the lid. It appeared 2 days ago when I got up in the morning. I've never had this problem before. I'm a 70 year old woman. This bruise doesn't hurt but looks awful. In the center of it there's a small off-white dot. Is this some kind of hemorrhage?
