i am marcel, 55yrs old,75 kg,had a severe generalised infection with probable septicaemia of undetermined aetiology ,am fortunately nearly out of it now.today i had a liver funtion test which shows: SGOT 24 u/L sgpt 22 u/L GGT 93 u/L BILIRUBIN Total 10.30 umol/L Conj 1.30 \

Your SGOT and SGPT levels are not significantly elevated and are not of concern. The GGT and Bilirubin levels are high. The picture represents an unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia which could be due to possible blood cell damage due to infection which is also associated with cholestasis. It should clear out with proper antibiotic and fluid therapy.
