I Have A Small, Painless, Raised Bump Behind My Left Knee
I have a small raised bump behind my left knee non discolored and was painless until a few days i started irritating it. Its been there for at least 2 months.
hi ani;
It can be dermatitis;if there is itching now it might have got slightly infected ;you can apply any antifungal & antibiotic ointment available over the counter .May be it can help;if problem persists consult a doctor.
thanks
Hi there,
welcome to healthcaremagic.The lump sounds like a cyst(Baker's cyst), which with time might have got infected, or simply it must be the presence of lump that is bothering you and you keep tapping it alltime.You can use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents, ice, and assisted weight bearing, in addition to the correction of underlying intra-articular disorders.And get it shown to a surgeon.
