I have a small pressure sore on my bottom, my doctor prescribed Duoderm Patches. In attempting to apply patch by myself using a mirror I noticed a small round area near the pressure sore. It is almost the size of a dime. It is light in color in the center, but has a very dark burgundy/red ring around it. It is in the upper part of the crack (sorry I don't know better terms) maybe 2 inches below where the crease starts. It is almost exactly centered in the crease or fold, far away from the anus. As far as I can tell it is smooth, not scaly or crusty. Does not itch or burn. Can not feel it at all. I would not even know it was there if I had not seen it trying to see the pressure sore. I've looked at lots of photos of skin cancers. I am light skinned, a red head. Not the extreme pale skin red head with tons of freckles. I do sunburn easily. My skin will tan if I'm very careful. But I've never tanned (or burned) in that area. It has never been exposed. Should I be concerned?
