I Have A Smaller Than Normal Heart, Is This Bad?

I have a smaller than normal heart , is this good or bad? As a firefighter I get annual physicals and twice now i ve had chest x-rays and the x-ray tech tell me, wow you have a small heart . The doctor has never mentioned anything to me about it. I was just wandering if this was bad?

Larger than normal hearts usually show an increased chance to heart disease and heart issues in the future... I assume that smaller also has the same issue.. it is not a guarentee just increased odds... Your best bet, don't rely on us on yahoo for your life and livelyhood.. If you have a medical issue dealing with the heart or other vital organs.. talk with your doctor.. he has the xrays, the lab tests... Also It was a lab tech that said it.. might be a crappy lab tech, and a "average" sized heart is just that.. average.. there are some smaller and some larger that are still within "normal" parameters.. It might be the doctor does not feel that it is small enough to be a cause of concern, and maybe you don't have any other risk factors, Cholestrol, weight, smoking, family heart disease etc etc etc.. Best bet, talk with YOUR doctor.
