Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a wisdom tooth socket where my tooth came out on its own, and now their is a flap of my gums over the socket. I've gotten dry socket months after my wisdom tooth came out. And the flap is still there. Now if I'm not careful while eating harder foods and accidentally chew somethingthat hits that flap it's excruciating pain for days. I thought this flap was suppose to go away eventually on its own. Why is mine still there? And is it going to cause any major problems in the future.
Also what is the technical term for this flap? I'd like to research it better but don't know what to call this exactly..
Thanks in advance!!
