I Have Advanced Prostate Cancer- Under Control With Hormone Treatment

I have advanced prostate cancer- under control with hormone treatment (lupron). However, side affects from the treatment caused hot flushes and crying episodes. To counter these side affects the doctor recommended venlafaxine er, 37.5 mg. I understood this should reduce the hot flushes and level my emotions. After 3 months of use I perceived no reduction in hot flushes or crying spells. I asked for and was given an increased dose (75 mg). 13 days with the new dosage, I've broken out with amt rash on my stomach, which extends up my left side to my armpit. I thought it might be something of a temporary nature. But research has shown it could be a side affect of venlafaxine. It's now 15 days (Friday- no way to contact Dr.) and the rash has not disipated. Your opinion? Thank you. NOTE: Between crying episodes I've never felt depressed or sad.
