I Have An Open Wound From A Spider Bite On

I have an open wound from a spider bite on my leg under my knee. It's healing nicely. No swelling or pus, just a little red around the wound which the doc said was normal and should go away. But today when I changed the bandage I noticed that the area around the open wound (on my skin) has small white dots like under my skin. It doesn't hurt and is feeling better every day. But what are the little white dots? Is it an accumulation of WBC's?
