I have been dealing with severe reflux since Nov. I've been to primary care, ENT and gastro dr. last. He put me on 80 mg of Prilosec and 300mg of Zantac. Then I had a 24 hour acid collection test and it showed that I had 78 reflux episodes in the 24 hr. period. Dr. called and placed me on baclofen 30 mg. per day. That was over 2 weeks ago. I am no better and my cough and taste in my mouth is much worse. I called his office and nurse said I had not been on the meds long enough. Continue on current meds and call in a month. Some people have advised me to get a second opinion, but this may be the correct treatment.
