I Have Been Diagnosed With AVN In The Hips, Shoulders,

I have been diagnosed with AVN in the hips, shoulders, and knees. I did vascular bone grafts in the hips, and a non vascular bone graft in one shoulder. Most of this took place about 10 years ago. I am now 40 yes old and have gained a bit of weight which I'm sure is not going to help my situation. I am interested in losing some weight to achieve a healthier BMI. I am looking for some suggestions of exercises that I can do to lose some weight and stay healthy but not progress the AVN damage in my knees or anywhere else. I know swimming is often a primary recommendation but this is not an option for me so I am looking for anything else.
