I have been diagnosed with iron deficiency anemy and my doctors are trying to identify any homorragy. So far nothing found. Next step will be probably colonoscopy.
In 2009 I was hospitalized with a very mild cerebral vascular accident (words blackout) which returned to normal in two weeks. I was medicated with microaspirine with ompradex and SIMVASTATIN. When I entered the hospital my HB was 15.5. Since then it has come down to 10.8 in June 2015. Ferratinine was low 7.
I have been given an iron suplement and I started eating more meat, of which I didn't eat much in the past. Now I have 14.6 HB and 7 ferritinine. I also have pain in my legs. I wonder if the anemy may be related to SIMVASTATIN and also the pain in the legs. My colesterol is 50 which I think is good.
