I Have Been Diagnosed With Svt. Doc Says I Was

I have been diagnosed with svt. Doc says I was born with it. Prescribed diltiazem ER 90. First episode about a year ago. Echo shows pretty healthy heart. Very active and at gym 2-3 times a week. Halter monitor shows svt. I don't tolerate meds. Hate diltiazem - bones hurt, stiff, can't sleep, depressed and short tempered, hot sweats. I'm 64 and began menapause 17 years ago. I feel this is hormone induced. I'm type A personality. 5'5" and 125 lbs. electrophysiology doc suggests ablation. Both heart specialist and electro doc say it won't kill me. Just uncomfortable. I have weaned myself to 1 pill - skip 2 days. Then repeat. Still hav side effects and symptoms of svt daily. IF it is svt. How do they know for sure? My mom has a-fib. Is there a natural cure? Vitamin or hormone therapy?
