.I Have Been Experiencing A Relatively Strong Burning Very Localized

.I have been experiencing a relatively strong burning very localized pain in the upper left area of my stomach just below my ribcage. I have been having these issues for approximately 4 or 5 months now. My GP prescribed PPI's which I have been taking on and off but they don't seem very effective. The pain is best described as burning but not the burning type that I know from heartburn. It is very localized in one area though it seems to sometimes spread out towads the side and even the back. In one week I leave for a World trip but I am worried about this pain that doesn't seem to go away. I do not smoke or take drugs and I am generally very healthy. My only issue is that I like to drink coca cola... could this be linked?
