I Have Been Experiencing Cramps In My Left Calf Muscle

I have been experiencing cramps in my left calf muscle for sometime now and yesterday my wife said that I left calf muscle is getting smaller than my right. There is also an odd protrusion under my skin that looks like a vein going from my foot upward in an odd pattern but is not a vein. I also have some discoloration in my skin around my toes and some loss of feeling. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and can manage by glucose with diet, exercise and take Metformin. My glucose runs 150 to 200. Are these symptoms related to diabetes or could they be from something else.
