I Have Been Experiencing Tooth Pain In My Lower Left

I have been experiencing tooth pain in my lower left molars area which will suddenly switch to my upper left molar areas. The pain is pretty intense. I had my dentist check at my last visit and the X-ray didn't show a dental problem. Where I am experiencing mostly on my lower but then also on my upper I'm wondering if this could be an ear infection or sinus infection?
