I have been my partners only carer for a number of years prior to his admission to hospital. Heart kidney diseases plus dilate tea gout and chest infection,He remains in hospital for 33 days where I have been visiting him every day last week until I became ill with what I thought were flue symptoms, my doctor prescribed doxycycline but this had no effect after 4 days. My doctor has now prescribed clarithrmycin and took a throat swab with the view that could have pertussis, I also have ms and asthma. I wonder how long I can expect to continue feeling so very weak without appetite and with adverse pain in my upper body from constant coughing. Also how long should I remain absent from contact with my partner. Thank you for helping me.
