I have been on Percocet for at least 10 years due to spinal stenosis I am 77, have a pacemaker and stents diabetes, and am on Plavix and Xarelto(for a Fib. My pain guy has me on 5 perday no more of 10/325. Recently he told me a had to have spinal injection and said I had to be off blood thinners for 5 to 7 days. I got a note stating I could not be off them but he did not want it and the following month he said it was a facet block and I could take blood thinners. He said if I do not take these injections he would stop my meds. My cardiologist said he knew what a facet block was and would not recommend it and will not take me off blood thinners particularly the Xarelto. I do not know what will happen at my next appointment but I cannot go of the blood thinners and I am not willing to take a chance on a blood clot or bleeding to death. Do you have any suggestions?
