I have been over 10 years drinking daily. My average is 8 drinks per day (bottle 1/2 wine or bottle and 2 cocktails. I take .50 mg Xanax, never more than 1 pill per day, approximately 2-4 days per week for anxiety. I am now trying tapering. Yesterday at 8am I took a Xanax (relieving a hangover) and last night beginning at 5 I had 6.5 standard drinks. As I continue to taper my drinking, do you see a huge problem if in the morning I take a Xanax to keep calm during the day? I am not a usual day time drinker. Thanks J
