I have been suffering from chronic residual nerve pain on the entire right side of my and lower back pain after I was in a severe auto accident in 2003 several years later I also developed Fibromyalgia and CFS too. I have been on pain medication ever since. I recently had a urine drug test that came back positive for the patch but negative for the oxycodone and was dismissed from the doctor's care as a result. I am very upset by this because they are accusing me of not taking any of the medication for 2 weeks and that's not accurate I had run out 2 to 3 days prior to the test and had been white knuckling it until my appointment but fourteen days is preposterous! I have never been non-compliant and had been with him for several years. I looked online and see a ton of people who this has also happened to. Can you please tell me how common is it to get false negatives? Also, I've read that oxycodone metabolizes quickly, how can they say it's been more than 14 days since I took it especially since it isn't accurate? And it was a drug screen that was sent to the lab but just gives a positive or negative result to each drug. I feel as if he's trying to cover his ass because he's a primary care doctor who hadn't been compliant in screening regularly and had many different providers writing the prescriptions and with the DEA cracking down they decided to cut their losses, unfortunately this loss was me. I'm feel very hurt and it's humiliating to be treated that way. Can you please answer my questions about the drug screens? Thank you.
