I Have Been Trying To Make Sure I Am Not

I have been trying to make sure I am not pregnant. I don't remember when my last period ended- it's extremely irregular- but I know I was on it on August 5th. It should be starting again in the next week or so, but my cervix has just gone soft, open, and high. Is this a bad sign? I thought ovulation was supposed to happen earlier than this?
