I Have Chest Pains On The Left Side Of My

I have chest pains on the left side of my chest Ive been to the ER and they said it wasn't my heart I beleive my pain is caused by costochondritus. Now my question is I am 18 and why does smoking cannibus make my pain worse??!?! No one seems to have a logical ansewer. Please help me.
