i have developed this chronic stuffy nose. i sneeze a lot any time i wake up. sometimes i have to open my mouth to breathe because my nostrils are blocked. i am not asthmatic either. but my wife is. could i have contracted a respiratory related disease from her? it is really bothering me a lot. i often take rhizin or ozin 10 but i am not seeing any improvement thought it was prescribed by the doctor. this condition has been with me for the past 3years.

It seems you have developed allergic rhinitis but you have not mentioned that you are allergic to any pollen or food. there are many reasons for allergy dust mite and dust is common and one of the main reason. Moulds are another common reason. Further, you can use locally acting nasal corticosteroids for stuffy nose and allergy which can be prescribed by your family physician or ENT specialist. You can go for allergy test also and do desensitization treatment though its costly and lengthy treatment
