I Have Done CSF Test For Diagnosis Of Meningitis. Doctors
I have done CSF test for diagnosis of Meningitis.
Doctors are predicting Viral meningitis as TLF cell count is 14 and there is increase in lymphocytes(90%). In Blood culture test no bacterial or fungal species are found. But in CSF test Pus Cells are found. So could you please let me know if this case is of Bacterial meningitis or Viral meningitis?
Also Patient is being treated with acyclovir 800 mg tablets(5 times daily) and today she has reported lack of sleep.Previously she did not had stiff neck problems but now she is having stiff neck problems. It's been 8 days now.
is this a side effect?
