Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have got a random lower back pain, right at the base of my spine right above my tailbone. It even hurts to touch. I'm worried about it--I've had back pain before but never like this. I'm afraid it could be something like meningitis? I had bacterial meningitis as a young child but overcame it. I'm hoping that it didn't come back more than 15 years later? Maybe it's something less intense and severe. Hoping so. Any thoughts?
Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears to be the sacro coccigeal joint,or an abscess near that joint. It didn't have any relation to the menengitis. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I. for diagnosis. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically till the pain is under the controle. And also ofloxacin, ornidazole, and paracetamol. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
