I Have Had 2 Front Upper Crowns Done Together Within

I have had 2 front upper crowns done together within the past year, the problem being that there is a gap at the back of the teeth at the upper end near the roof of my mouth..this is distracting and I fine that my tongue goes there continually. This was not so before my crowns. I had the crowns done as to match the colouring of my side crowns. My front teeth had darkened considerably. My dentist told me that because of some bone loss this was the reason. My side crowns are fine, no gaps between any other teeth. Only the gap at the back top of these 2 front crowns.
Please tell me if this is just something I have to live with.
