Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had Glaucoma since around 1991 when I was diagnosed as glaucoma suspect. I had glaucoma and cataract surgery on my left eye in 2006 and in my right eye in 2008. The surgeries were performed by different ophthalmologist due to a family move. I have open angle glaucoma. My doctor says my vision went down in 2014 again, but has been stable since (If I remember correctly!). Yet, she is very concerned that I will lose my vision and wants to redo the surgery in the right eye. She had be conservative in that operation because I had issues with "watery vision" in my left eye after that surgery. She is concerned that scar tissue has closed the drain somewhat. My pressure in my left eye is usually around 8 and in my right eye 12, though earlier this year when I had a long term flu which included sinus problems with headaches, it was at 16 when I had my check up appointment. I am interested in finding the best ophthalmologist west of the Mississippi that could give me a second opinion.
