I Have Had A Breakout Of Blisters On The Left

I have had a breakout of blisters on the left side of my body on about 2-3 a year for about 5 years, but they resemble shingles and that's what I have been told...however I have repiratory issues headache, fever and fatigue when they flar. Is it a form of herpes or can shingles dreoccur that often. I feel like I have the flu and difficulty breathing.
