I Have Had A History Of Thyroiditis But Am Currently

I have had a history of thyroiditis but am currently not on medication as TSH and T4 have always been within normal range. Recently because of strong family history and ongoing symptoms, my doctor ran more extensive thyroid tests. The results are elevated Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies at 282 and elevated Thyroglobulin AB at 31. However, the TSH, Free T4, Free T3 and Reverse T3 are all within normal ranges so my doctor doesn't think I have an abnormal thyroid. These symptoms have been ongoing for several years and include fatigue, achiness, weight gain and seem to be increasing in severity. My doctor has suggested I could try a Levothyroxine dose of 50 mcg. Should I try this medication regimen? Thanks, Barb R
