I Have Had A Retinal Detatchment In One Eye...have Some

I have had a retinal detatchment in one eye...have some loss of vision...things are very distorted...this happened approx. 6 years ago...now over those years my hearing has started to deteriate...my hearing dr. thinks there could be a connection with my hearing loss and eye sight....Could this be possible because of the optic nerve...My eye dr. told me I have a hole in that eye that cannot be repaired...Am very frusterated...Also had a macular pucker surgery on the same eye....I am 65 and just wanting to know if there could be a connection between the eye sight and the hearing loss....thank you
