I Have Had A Sore Throat And Ear Ache For

I have had a sore throat and ear ache for 3 months now just on my left side. I went to the dr a month a go and they said it was silent acid reflux and gave my prescription strength prilosec. They said I would find instant relief. It has actually gotten worse over the last month. It's not a sore throat in the normal sense it feels like I was punched in the throat and stabbing pain and the pain has gotten worse in my ear and has spread to my collar bone. They said they didn't see anything on my ct of my throat. I am also always tired have lost a pant size in weight and also developed in this time what they are calling geographic tounge. Should I see about getting a second opinion or does this sound like silent acid reflux? Oh they also put a camera down my throat and said it is purple.
