I Have Had An MRI And I Have Thinning Lumbar

I have had an MRI and I have thinning lumbar disk. I am 83 years old-would disk surgery be a good? helpful? I have a continual pain down my left leg when I move it a certain way. I have no pain when I am sitting in a chair or when I am flat on my back. I take no medications.
