I Have Had An Ongoing Sinus Infection. The Last Two

I have had an ongoing sinus infection. The last two days, I have had pain and swelling right where my jaw bone meets my lower left ear. I also have pain and a feeling of fullness in my ear and in my facial sinuses. Is this just an exacerbation of the infection and I should see my p c p or ent, or is it likely viral.
