Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had leg cramps since I was young and it seems that it is increasing on a daily basis. I have them in my feet, calves, knees and thighs and not just on one side. It sometimes will start in my feet/toes and move up and then start on the other leg which leaves me basically immobile due to the pain. I was previously told that my hemoglobin was at 7.1 and then this last week after undergoing surgery to remove gallbladder I was told that my hemoglobin was at 11.5 and then it slowly went down after receiving a blood transfusion during the surgery. When I left the hospital it was at 6.8 and 2 days after leaving the hospital my cramps started in. Please give me some advice as to what I can do to end these horrible daily episodes.
