Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had many earaches in my past, at one point I even had sweet smelking fluid draining out with subsequent brown/black/whitish soft clump of something falling out. It had been almost a decade since such trouble but I have recurrent soreness in my ears that can be provoke by seemingly unrelated event such as when I removed my earrings for prolonged periods of time and replace them a soreness inside the ear can develop. It often causes the tonsil on that side to feel sore or painful sometime underneath my jaw on that side too. It happened recently, my tonsil swelled, then my nose only on one side got sore and then it spread to the other tonsil and ear. Finally effecting my sinuses. It is abnormal for me to catch cold or flu in this manner of pattern, so I don't assume it was that. Can my middle or inner ear effect my tonsils and sinus cavities or cause infection to them? Thank you if you read all that.
