I have had rectal bleeding for many years. 99.99% of the time it's on the tissue or drops in the water in the toilet. I do have some difficulty with bowel movements, many times I know that the movement itself causes the bleeding at the rectum. I think that some of it is diet. I am not overweight (5'9" and I have lost 15 lbs in about a year and weigh under 145 - 150). The blood is 99.99% bright red, but sometimes the stool is dark, but that is rare.
