I have had something in my lower throat irritating me since Saturday. I went to the ER yesterday. The PA didn't think much of it. Gave me a steroid and a referral to an ear, nose, and throat doctor. This morning I coughed up a mass of blood and tissue. My throat still hurts, not as bad as yesterday. I am concerned. Do you think it could be something serious? What I coughed up also had what appeared to be puss.
