I Have Hyperparathyroidism That My Endocrinologist Has Diagnosed As Secondary

I have hyperparathyroidism that my endocrinologist has diagnosed as secondary due to Vit D deficiency. Has been going on for 2 yrs and my PTH has never normalized despite high dose Vit D 3-4 times a week. My CA+ level is normal. My PTH is generally over 100, and has been as high as 193. Last Vit D on 7/24/18 was 137 and PTH on 8/10/18 was 96. Could there be another cause for elevated PTH and normal CA+ other than stored Vit D levels?

Also can elevated PTH affect thermoregulation, cause hyper salivation, as well as chronic fatigue?

I am sorry I am complicated-I have had gastric bypass surgery which is probably causing malabsorption issues. I have Type 2 DM, last HGBA1C was 5.8 on 7/24/18.

Thank you,
Dale Ziegler
