I have just been told my 86 yr old husband has been diagnosed with Alzimers disease. He seem to be getting more snappy and that isnt like him. I am a retired RN so with the help of a caregiver 3 & 1/2 days a week. I have health issues of my own, and I'm trying to be as patient as I can, but sometimes it very hard. He has hallucinations that can happy any time. Have any suggestions. I'm trying to find group therapy for spouses of Alzimers but not having much luck. I can't afford to pay. It is costing me a fortune to take of him.
