I Have Neuropathy In My Feet, Caused By Diabetes. My

I have neuropathy in my feet, caused by diabetes. My neurologist started me on gabapentin, 300mg increasing it to 1200mg per day. My main problem is numbness in my feet. I’ve read the side effects. I’ve worked hard to lose some weight. I don’t want to put it back on. I work long days and I’ve noticed I get tired easy. There are many side effects. Will these subside as my body becomes accustom to the drug. Right now I’m on only 300mg per day, with no relief. Or is there something better I should be taking?
