I Have Persistent Scabs At The Base Of My Septum. Any Self Treatment Available?
Dear Advisor, I have recently stopped using cocaine after being a social (1-2 times per month) for a number of years. Will using Calpol Soothe & Care Saline Nasal Spray help to repair the persistent scabs I have at the base of my septum? Any advice on self treatment would be gratefully received. Regards. Reformed substance abuser.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of being reformed substance abuser, having scabs at the base of the substnace. These scabs are indicative of reduced blood supply to this part and hence you can start the medicines to improve upon the blood supply. You can start Ginseng with multivitamins at home. Steam inhalation. Sodabicarb nasal washes to remove the scabs, never pull them. No drugs strictly as a single use can jeopardize the progress. Avoid antihistamine and cough syrups as they contain decongestants that can reduce the already precarious blood supply. Consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination, investigations and further trial of medicines.
