I Have Really Smelly Sinuses Or Something. I Can't Smell

I have really smelly sinuses or something. I can't smell them but other people can---sometimes even from about ten feet away. My wife tells me she is sure it is not coming from my mouth. The problem is exponentially worse when I have sniffles (even slightly) ---which is not very often. I am unfortunate in that I had tonsil stones as well and they also made their own special contribution to the poop smell party. I have immaculate dental hygiene. I floss and brush religiously and my mouth always has that just been to the dentist feel. Unfortunately every doctor I have told about the problem did not take this problem very seriously. I even had to self diagnose my own tonsil stones before my tonsils were removed. Once in a while I would get a solid whitish substance that seemed to come up from my throat. I checked my tonsils and sure in enough there were whitish masses in them that packed a powerful punch. This may seem strange but my breath seems to worsen with my mood. The more irritable I am the worse the taste in my mouth. How can doctors treat me if they are not even familiar with the smell. Usually the conversation lasts two minutes. I tell the doctor i have bad breath and I think it is coming from my sinuses and they just suggest Nasonex and that the end of it. I am beyond frustrated. I am sure this has affected both my professional and love life in a very adverse manner. Fortunately I am very charismatic, funny and confident and my emotional intelligence and social skills are through the roof. So I can get by in this world with some success even with horrible breath. However I think my bad breath irritates people (managers and coworkers) but they are too embarrassed to tell me therefore I feel I can never achieve my full potential and people will sometimes dislike me for no fault of my own (especially people who do not really know me). Please help. This problem is really beginning to make me depressed. Why are doctors reluctant to really talk about this problem and work diligently to get to its source? Maybe because bad breath is not life threatening? They do not even try to sniff the smell ever when I tell them about it and their efforts at treatment are halfhearted at best. Just some vague reference to sinus infections or GERD or dental hygiene No-one has really tried to take a scientific approach to troubleshooting the problem. Maybe if they had to live with bad breath they would take the problem more seriously. Is there not some kind of smell detector machine they can have me breathe into to determine the source of the smell or at the least the possible type of bacteria that is causing this? Oh I also have slight GERD for which I occasionally take prescription strength Prilosec but I do not think this the cause of the bad breath. I may be wrong.
