Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have severe eczema all over my body. At this point the flare ups become so bad that it's difficult to get out of bed and function throughout the day. My problem areas are my wrists and inner arms. Creams and ointments do not work. My doctor prescribed me oral steroids. Prednisone 20mg 3x's daily for 10 days. My skin is fine on 7 days. One week after I stopped taking the medicine my skin on the wrists starts to become segmented and many puss bubbles form. To me this seems different than eczema. I'm not sure if I'm Eating something I'm allergic to. I want to figure it out so that I'm not on steroids forever, though that seems to be the only thing that can calm my skin.
