I have spasms that begin with a sensation in my hip. Then my leg jerks .I don't feel like I NEED to move my leg, it jerks on it's own This happens mostly at night but can also start up when sitting. I have to get up and walk around then lay back down. That may be enough or I may have to get up again. Can be either side or both. I have tried stretching, icing, and pressure on trigger spots up and down the IT band. I can have nights that I have no problems and some that I wish I could sleep standing up. I can't relate good or bad nights to any activity. Any suggestions?
