I have suffered from chronic constipation for years but about five years ago, I was prescribed Amitiza which worked pretty well. Then about 2 years ago, I was switched to Linzess which has worked well. For about two weeks now, I have had a return of constipation with hard stools and much straining. I've tried additional laxatives, such as dulcolax with limited success. I had a colonoscopy last summer and everything seemed to be fine at that time. I now also feel bloated most of the time. Should I see my gastroenterologist asap?
