Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I haven't had a period for over3 years , I am 49 and took it that I was post menapause. I started to bleed a month ago with a heavy period for 2 weeks and spotting since . I went for a scan and was referred to a gynaecologist they sent a letter to my Gp and a copy to me . In lamens terms could you please explain the following: "Thickened cystic endometrium of 12.8mm not vascular. Bilateral ovarian cyst with a solid mural nodule on the cyst thought to be from the right ovary . Only a scant pipelle endometrial biopsy obtained. CA125 test done waiting for results for a histology. " Am I right in thinking I may have cancer ? Regards Karen
