I just experienced acute flank pain (left kidney area) and it was severe enough to make me break into a cold sweat and sit down. I have only experienced this once before and it seemed to cease after I increased fluid intake. I do not have a fever or chronic aches or pains. Should I immediately schedule a doctor's appointment or try to increase fluid with ibuprofen for a while first?
