I just got out of the er from a reaction to naproxen sodium 440m ...I have a fusion of my cervical spine 2-3-4 and it gives me headaches. I took the same dosage yesterday and had no problems. I was given an iv of Benadryl and at the start of a steroid push of some kind, sorry I don't remember the name, and immediately started reacting to that drug. Same reaction as the naproxen. I thought steroids are used to counteract reactions to other meds, so was really surprised to have this happen. What happens if I find myself in another situation as this one and not able to take the steroid?
